My Workout Isn't Showing Up
Workout uploaded but not appearing in NestEgg? Work through this checklist to find and fix the problem in under 5 minutes.
My Workout Isn’t Showing Up
Start here. The fix depends on how you upload workouts — auto-upload or photo-upload.
Step 0 — Which upload method are you using?
Auto-upload (wearable syncs automatically): Go to Auto-Upload Not Syncing.
Photo-upload (you upload a screenshot manually): Go to Photo-Upload Not Appearing.
Not sure? Open Workouts → My Workouts. If your recent workouts appear but the latest one is missing, you’re on auto-upload. If the list is completely empty, start at the top.
Auto-Upload Not Syncing
Work through these in order. Stop when the workout appears.
1. Wait — and pull to refresh
Auto-upload is not instant. Apple Health and Google Health Connect can take 2–5 minutes to pass data through to NestEgg after a workout ends.
In NestEgg → Workouts, pull down to refresh. Wait a full minute and try again.
2. Verify the workout is in your wearable app
Open your wearable’s companion app (Garmin Connect, WHOOP, Zepp, Polar Flow, etc.) and confirm the workout is actually there. If it’s not in the app, NestEgg can’t receive it — the problem is with your wearable, not NestEgg.
3. Run a 1-minute test workout
This is the fastest way to confirm the connection is working end-to-end.
- Start a workout on your wearable (even just a 1-minute walk)
- End it and let it sync to your companion app
- Wait 2–3 minutes
- Open NestEgg → Workouts and pull to refresh
If the test workout appears, the connection is live — your original workout may just be delayed. Give it another 10 minutes.
If the test workout doesn’t appear, the connection is broken. See My Wearable Won’t Connect.
4. Check your permissions (iOS)
In Apple Health → Sharing → Apps:
- Find your wearable’s companion app — confirm Workouts and Heart Rate are ON
- Find NestEgg — confirm all toggles are green
Any toggle that’s off will break the sync silently.
5. Check your permissions (Android)
In Health Connect → App permissions:
- Find your wearable’s companion app — confirm Exercise and Heart Rate are ON
- Find NestEgg Health — confirm Exercise and Heart Rate are ON
- Also check that NestEgg has background access enabled
6. Restart your phone
Clears background sync queues that can stall silently. Open NestEgg afterwards and pull to refresh.
7. Force-quit and reopen NestEgg
Swipe the NestEgg app closed completely, then reopen it. Pull to refresh in Workouts.
Photo-Upload Not Appearing
1. Check for an error message
After submitting a photo-upload, NestEgg shows either a success screen or an error. If you saw an error, the upload didn’t go through — you’ll need to try again.
2. Check your screenshot
The AI needs to read four fields from your screenshot: workout type, date/time, duration, and average heart rate. If any are missing or unreadable, the upload may fail silently.
See What Makes a Valid Screenshot to confirm you’re using the right screen.
3. Look in My Workouts
Open Workouts → My Workouts. Scroll down — recently uploaded workouts appear at the top, grouped by date. If it’s not there, the upload didn’t complete.
4. Check if it went to the wrong date
If the screenshot showed a different date from today, NestEgg may have filed the workout under a previous day. Scroll down in My Workouts to check.
