Fitbit is different. Unlike every other iOS-supported device, Fitbit connects directly to NestEgg via secure sign-in — not through Apple Health. You do not need to configure Apple Health for Fitbit.
Step 1 of 4 — Open Auto-Upload in NestEgg
Before connecting your wearable, navigate to the auto-upload screen in the NestEgg app.
- Open the NestEgg app.
- Tap your profile icon (top right of the home screen).
- Select Workout Submission.
- Select Auto-Upload.
- Choose Fitbit from the supported devices list.
Step 2 of 4 — Connect Fitbit to NestEgg
NestEgg securely reads your workout and heart-rate data from your Fitbit account. We only read workout and heart-rate data — nothing else.
- Tap Connect to Fitbit in the NestEgg app.
- When the Fitbit screen appears — sign in with your Fitbit account.
- Select Allow All (for Heart Rate + Activity and Exercise).
- Tap Allow to confirm.
Step 3 of 4 — Sign In to Fitbit
A Fitbit sign-in page opens in your browser.
- Log in with your Fitbit credentials (email and password, or sign in with Google).
Step 4 of 4 — Grant Permissions
- Select Allow All to let NestEgg read your heart rate and activity data.
- Tap Allow.
You’re all set. NestEgg will now read your Fitbit workouts directly. Your next workout will appear in NestEgg automatically.
Troubleshooting
Fitbit workouts aren’t showing in NestEgg.
- Confirm the workout has synced to the Fitbit app on your phone (pull down to refresh in the Fitbit app).
- In NestEgg → Workouts, pull down to refresh.
- Wait a few minutes — Fitbit sync can occasionally be delayed.
- If the connection was broken, repeat Steps 1–3 above to reconnect.
I don’t remember my Fitbit password. Use Forgot password on the Fitbit sign-in page to reset it. Your NestEgg account is separate from your Fitbit account.
