Apple Watch — Auto-Upload on iOS
Apple Watch writes directly to Apple Health — just one step to connect NestEgg and you're done.
Apple Watch on iOS
2 steps · ~2 minutes · No companion app needed
Apple Watch is the simplest setup of all. It writes workout data directly to Apple Health — there’s no companion app to configure. Just navigate to auto-upload in NestEgg, connect to Apple Health, and you’re done.
Step 1 of 2 — Open Auto-Upload in NestEgg
Before connecting your wearable, navigate to the auto-upload screen in the NestEgg app.
- Open the NestEgg app.
- Tap your profile icon (top right of the home screen).
- Select Workout Submission.
- Select Auto-Upload.
- Choose Apple Watch from the supported devices list.
Step 2 of 2 — Connect NestEgg to Apple Health
Apple Watch writes directly to Apple Health, so this is the only connection step you need.
- Tap Connect to Apple Health in the NestEgg app.
- When the Apple Health permission screen appears, tap Turn On All.
- Check that all toggles are green — Heart Rate, Resting Heart Rate, and Workouts.
- Tap Allow.
That’s it. Apple Watch workouts flow directly into Apple Health, which NestEgg already reads.
Complete a workout using the Apple Watch Workout app and it will appear in NestEgg automatically — no further action needed.
Troubleshooting
Workout isn’t appearing in NestEgg.
- Make sure the workout was recorded using the native Workout app on your Apple Watch (not a third-party app).
- In Apple Health → Sharing → Apps → NestEgg, confirm all toggles are green.
- In NestEgg → Workouts, pull down to refresh. Give it a minute.
- Still nothing? Restart your iPhone.
Heart rate data looks wrong. The Workout app must be active during the session to record heart rate continuously. If you forgot to start the Workout app, your HR data won’t be captured. See HR Data Wrong.
