Xiaomi on Android
4 steps · ~5 minutes
Xiaomi bands and watches use the Mi Fitness app to connect to Health Connect.
Step 1 of 4 — Open Auto-Upload in NestEgg
Before connecting your wearable, navigate to the auto-upload screen in the NestEgg app.
- Open the NestEgg app.
- Tap your profile icon (top right).
- Tap Settings (top right).
- Select Workout Submission.
- Select Auto-Upload.
- Choose Xiaomi from the supported devices list.
Step 2 of 4 — Connect NestEgg to Health Connect
This grants NestEgg permission to read your workout and heart rate data from Google Health Connect.
- Tap Connect to Health Connect in the NestEgg app.
- When the Health Connect permission screen appears, tap Allow all.
- Check that all toggles are blue (ON) — Exercise and Heart Rate.
- Tap Allow.
- Tap Allow again for background access.
Step 3 of 4 — Connect Mi Fitness to Health Connect
Now link the Mi Fitness app so your Xiaomi workout data flows through to NestEgg.
- Open the Mi Fitness app on your Android phone and make sure your Xiaomi band or watch has synced recently.
- Tap Profile → App settings → Sync with the cloud and make sure it is turned ON. Mi Fitness needs this on before it can share data with other apps.
- Go back to Profile and tap Third-party data.
- Choose Health Connect, then tap Connect.
- Tap Allow all (or enable the listed data categories, including Workouts and Heart rate), then tap Allow.
This lets Mi Fitness share your workout and heart-rate data safely with Health Connect.
Step 4 of 4 — Verify the Connection
Confirm both apps are sharing correctly.
- Open Health Connect on your phone.
- Go to App permissions.
- Select Mi Fitness — confirm sharing is turned ON.
- Return to App permissions.
- Select NestEgg Health — confirm sharing is turned ON.
- Back in NestEgg, tap Looks good!
You’re all set. Workouts tracked by your Xiaomi will now flow automatically to NestEgg.
Troubleshooting
Xiaomi workouts aren’t showing in NestEgg.
- In Mi Fitness → Profile → Third-party data → Health Connect — ensure data permissions are ON.
- In Mi Fitness → Profile → App settings — confirm Sync with the cloud is ON.
- In Health Connect → App permissions → Mi Fitness — confirm Workouts and Heart Rate are ON.
- In Health Connect → App permissions → NestEgg Health — confirm Workouts and Heart Rate are ON.
- Open Mi Fitness and pull down on the home screen to sync your band or watch, so the latest workout reaches your phone.
- In NestEgg Health, open Workouts and pull down to refresh.
- Wait about a minute — Health Connect sometimes takes a moment to sync.
- Still stuck? Restart your phone — this clears background sync issues.
Health Connect isn’t listed under Third-party data in Mi Fitness.
Update Mi Fitness to the latest version from the Google Play Store. Health Connect appears in the Third-party data list only in newer versions of the app.
My Xiaomi band uses the Zepp Life app, not Mi Fitness.
Older Xiaomi bands (typically Mi Smart Band 6 and earlier, and some Smart Band 7 setups) pair through Zepp Life, which does not link to Health Connect. If your device is supported by Mi Fitness, unpair it from Zepp Life and pair it with Mi Fitness instead, then follow the steps above. If it is not supported by Mi Fitness, use Photo-Upload — it works with any heart-rate wearable.
Note: Make sure your device is running Android 14 or newer (or has Health Connect installed from the Play Store) and that the Mi Fitness app is updated to the latest version.
