Fitbit on Android

4 steps · ~5 minutes

Fitbit is different. Unlike every other Android-supported device, Fitbit connects directly to NestEgg via secure sign-in — not through Health Connect. You do not need to configure Health Connect for Fitbit.

Step 1 of 4 — Open Auto-Upload in NestEgg

Before connecting your wearable, navigate to the auto-upload screen in the NestEgg app.

  1. Open the NestEgg app.
  2. Tap your profile icon (top right of the home screen).
  3. Select Workout Submission.
  4. Select Auto-Upload.
  5. Choose Fitbit from the supported devices list.

Step 2 of 4 — Connect Fitbit to NestEgg

NestEgg connects to your Fitbit account directly to read your workout and heart-rate data. We only read workout and heart-rate data — nothing else.

  1. Tap Connect to Fitbit in the NestEgg app.
  2. NestEgg securely connects to your Fitbit account to read your workout and heart-rate data.

Step 3 of 4 — Sign In to Fitbit

A Fitbit sign-in page opens in your browser.

  1. Log in with your Fitbit credentials (email and password, or sign in with Google).

Step 4 of 4 — Grant Permissions

  1. Select Allow All to let NestEgg read your heart rate and activity data.
  2. Tap Allow.

You’re all set. NestEgg will now read your Fitbit workouts directly. Your next workout will appear in NestEgg automatically.

Troubleshooting

Fitbit workouts aren’t showing in NestEgg.

  1. Confirm the workout has synced to the Fitbit app on your phone (pull down to refresh in the Fitbit app).
  2. In NestEgg → Workouts, pull down to refresh.
  3. Wait a few minutes — Fitbit sync can occasionally be delayed.
  4. If the connection was broken, repeat Steps 1–3 above to reconnect.

I don’t remember my Fitbit password. Use Forgot password on the Fitbit sign-in page to reset it. Your NestEgg account is separate from your Fitbit account.
