Your Profile and Privacy Settings
What your Nestmates and other Eggs can see — and how to control it. Profile setup, visibility settings, and your trophy room.
Your Profile and Privacy Settings
Your NestEgg profile is your identity in the challenge. Here’s what’s visible to others and how to adjust it.
What’s on Your Profile
Your profile has four tabs:
| Tab | What’s shown |
|---|---|
| Posts | Your ProofShots and manual posts |
| Workouts | Your workout history with EP and scores |
| Team | Your current Nest and Nestmates |
| Statistics | Your cumulative challenge stats — total EP, workouts, streaks |
Your Trophy Room is also on your profile — it collects achievement badges earned during challenges.
Public vs Private Profile
You control who can see your profile detail.
| Setting | Who can see your full profile |
|---|---|
| Public | Any Egg in the Flock (the full challenge community) |
| Private | Your Nestmates only |
Your name and Level Score are always visible to other Eggs on the leaderboard, regardless of privacy setting. The privacy setting controls access to your posts, workouts tab, and statistics.
To change your privacy setting:
- Tap your avatar to open your profile
- Tap Settings (top right)
- Toggle Private profile ON or OFF
What Your Nestmates Always See
Regardless of your privacy setting, your Nestmates in the same Nest can always see:
- Your workout cards in the Nest feed
- Your Level Score on the Home dashboard Nest card
- Your ProofShot posts
- Your profile tabs (Posts, Workouts, Team, Statistics)
The Nest is a small trusted group — full visibility within it is by design.
Updating Your Profile
Profile photo: Tap your avatar on your profile page, then tap Edit.
Name and organization: Go to Settings → Full name or Settings → Organization.
Date of birth: Set during onboarding. Used to calculate your HR Limit for scoring. Contact support if you need to correct it.
Resting Heart Rate: Go to Settings → Profile to update your Rest HR. This affects how your Exercise Points are calculated. See Resting Heart Rate for guidance on finding your number.
Notifications
Control what NestEgg sends you from Settings → Notifications. You can toggle:
- Weekly and challenge stats
- Daily Health Nuggets
- Feature updates
- Nest activity (workouts, ProofShots from Nestmates)
Turning off Nest activity notifications will mean you miss real-time updates from your crew — most Eggs keep these on.
Common Questions
Can my employer see my individual workout data? No. Challenge administrators (Flock Leaders) receive aggregated program data — participation rates, overall EP trends, challenge completion. Individual workout logs and HR data are not shared with employers.
Can I change my username or display name? Yes — go to Settings → Full name to update your display name.
I want to follow an Egg outside my Nest. How? Tap their name on the leaderboard or in the feed to open their profile, then tap Follow. Their updates will appear in your Followed feed tab.
My Trophy Room is empty. When do badges appear? Trophy badges are awarded at the end of a challenge based on achievements — streaks, level promotions, total EP milestones, and more. Complete your first challenge to start building your collection.
