How to Sign Up & Join a Challenge
Download the app, create your account, and join your first NestEgg Challenge in about 10 minutes.
Before you start
You’ll need two things:
- A smartphone — iPhone or Android
- An invitation — your employer will share a link, QR code, or challenge code via email, Slack, Teams, or a poster. If you don’t have one, check with your HR contact.
Step 1: Download the NestEgg app
Search for NestEgg Health in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android). Download and open the app.
Step 2: Create your account
When you open the app, you’ll see the NestEgg welcome screen. Tap Sign Up.
You have three options:
- Sign in with Apple (iOS only)
- Sign in with Google
- Sign in with Microsoft
- Sign up with email — enter your email and create a password (minimum 8 characters)
If you sign up with email, you’ll receive a verification code. Enter it when prompted.
Step 3: Set up your profile
You’ll be asked for:
- First name and last name
- Organization — your employer or Flock name
- Email — pre-filled from sign-up
- Date of birth — this is required. NestEgg uses your age to calculate your HR Limit (the physiological ceiling for your heart rate). Without it, your Exercise Points can’t be scored accurately.
Tap Create my account when you’re done.
Step 4: Select your Level
NestEgg will ask: “Which of the following best describes your physical activity status?”
| Answer | Starting Level | Weekly EP Target |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner (0–2 hrs/week) | Level 2 | 200 |
| Intermediate (2–4 hrs/week) | Level 5 | 400 |
| Advanced (4–7 hrs/week) | Level 8 | 750 |
| Professional (7–14 hrs/week) | Level 11 | 1,400 |
| Elite (14–28 hrs/week) | Level 14 | 2,600 |
Pick honestly. If you’re not sure, lean toward the lower option — the system will promote you if you’re underleveled, usually within the first week.
Step 5: Allow notifications
NestEgg will ask to send you notifications. We recommend tapping Allow — you’ll get weekly progress updates, Nest activity alerts, and level change notifications. You can adjust these later in Settings.
Step 6: Join the Challenge
If you opened the app from an invitation link, the Challenge will appear automatically. Tap Open Challenge to join.
If you entered the app without a link, look for the Challenge card on your Home screen. If you don’t see one, check with your HR contact — they may need to add your email to the Challenge.
What happens next
After joining the Challenge, you’ll need to:
- Create or join a Nest — your 5-person team
- Connect your wearable — so your workouts sync automatically
Both are covered in separate guides. Once your wearable is connected and your Nest is formed, you’re ready to start earning EP.
Heads up: the whole process takes about 10 minutes. The longest part is usually the wearable connection — and we have step-by-step guides for every supported device.
